The Polish painter, sculptor and photographer Zdzisław Beksiński was killed in 2005 by the teenage son of his long time caretaker Beksiński was stabbed 17 times with a knife reportedly because he wouldn’t loan the kid $100. Sad.
Here’s a couple of examples how he painted manlike figures. Not very uplifting in tone maybe, but in beauty it certainly is.
